Dear Members, The International president of ICOMOS, Mr Gustavo Aroaz, announced a major discussion initiative at last year’s Advisory Committee meeting in Malta on the issue of change, and acceptable limits of change in relation to cultural heritage places. He has invited all National Committees and ISCs to discuss this issue widely amongst their membership. To this end we have established this blog. I invite you to read the paper below and to contribute any thoughts you have on this subject from either a theoretical viewpoint or based on your cultural heritage experiences. I think Australian heritage practitioners can make an important contribution to this global discussion.
